In Westmoreland County, four people—two of whom were children—were killed in what investigators believed was a murder-suicide.
The victims were discovered at a residence on Keck Lane in Hempfield on Friday morning, according to officials.
Paul Swarner, 35; Karen Swarner, 32; Evelyn, 5; and Connor, 1 were the victims identified by state police, who were conducting the investigation in conjunction with the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office.
According to authorities, Paul Swarner seemed to be the shooter.
Each victim had been shot by a Ruger and was discovered dead. Ruger 22 handgun was found at the location. According to the officials, they all shared the house. “A parent” who had located the victims called 911 to notify the authorities.
In relation to the incident, no charges have been brought.
