On Sunday afternoon just after 4 p.m., tragedy struck along Wolf Creek Road in St. Clair County when 25-year-old Andrew Harris Jr. of Mobile lost his life in a single-vehicle wreck. The crash happened in the 2400 block area south of Pell City, near address 2453 according to reports.

When emergency responders arrived, they found Harris’s vehicle severely damaged. He was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Clair County Coroner Jeff Parrish, who confirmed that the injuries were simply too catastrophic to survive. Another individual involved in the crash was transported to a hospital, but their condition has not yet been made public.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has taken lead on the investigation, working to piece together what led to the deadly collision. So far, officials say they have examined the wreckage, studied road conditions, and reconstructed the crash site—but no official cause has been released yet, and the investigation remains active.

Locals who know Wolf Creek Road say it can be treacherous, especially during bad weather or low visibility. They describe it as a stretch that demands respect and caution. In forums and social media, many expressed their sorrow and extended condolences to Harris’s family, emphasizing how fragile life can be on rural roads.

Friends and family remember Andrew as a bright, hard-working, kind young man whose personality left an impact. Social media messages pouring in reflect the grief that he didn’t just die, but that a promising life was cut short unexpectedly.

Authorities are using this as a sobering reminder: rural, curvy roads demand more vigilance. They urge drivers to always use seatbelts, avoid distractions, obey speed limits, and adapt to road conditions—especially in places where the margin for error is small.

As the investigation continues, the Pell City and Mobile communities are united in mourning. The official autopsy, accident reconstruction, and final report are expected to shed more light in the coming days. In the meantime, people are left grappling with the heartbreak of a life ended far too soon.
