Bradley Michael Leonard Obituary, Death; – A Dallas man has tragically lost his life following a car accident in which his vehicle plunged off a highway bridge into the water, according to the Mabank police.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, law enforcement officials responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the 17000 block of Highway 175, as stated in a release from the Mabank Police Department.
Witnesses informed authorities that the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway, struck the embankment, and subsequently became submerged. Officers attempted to enter the water in an effort to reach the driver but quickly determined that rescue efforts were unlikely due to the extent of the damage from the crash and the vehicle’s position in the water.
The vehicle was retrieved from the water shortly thereafter, and the sole occupant was discovered to be deceased. He has been identified as 68-year-old Bradley Michael Leonard. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
