Memphis, TN – November 5, 2025 – Three men have been arrested and two others remain at large in connection with a shooting that occurred over a $50 drug deal on October 26, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. The victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the head, was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition.

    What Happened

The shooting took place at a home in the 3300 block of Spottswood Avenue, where a dispute over a $50 marijuana deal escalated into violence. According to authorities, Johnny Miller, Javonte Jordan-Miller, and Deangelo Yarbrough are all facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and possession of a weapon during a dangerous felony.

The incident began earlier in the day when a man at the residence reportedly sold marijuana to Johnny Miller. After a disagreement over the price, Miller allegedly threatened to return and shoot the individual. Later that evening, surveillance footage showed Miller, Jordan-Miller, Yarbrough, and two other men approaching the home on Spottswood Avenue.

    The Shooting

When the victim’s brother answered the door, he was confronted by one of the suspects holding a gun. He ran upstairs to warn his brother to arm himself, but when he returned downstairs, he found his brother lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim’s current condition has not been updated, but he remains in critical condition.

    Arrests and Investigation

After the shooting, Johnny Miller was captured by the Memphis Safe Task Force on October 29, 2025, at a Super 8 Motel in West Memphis, Arkansas. The other two men, Javonte Jordan-Miller and Deangelo Yarbrough, were also arrested and charged.

However, authorities are still searching for two other individuals who were involved in the crime.

    Authorities’ Appeal for Information

The Memphis Police Department is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the remaining suspects to come forward. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to hold all responsible parties accountable for this violent act.

    Closing

The shooting over a small drug deal has shaken the Memphis community, and as the investigation continues, police are working to bring justice to the victim and his family. Anyone with information about the incident or the remaining suspects is asked to contact the Memphis Police Department.

This story may be updated with more information as the investigation progresses.
