On November 11th, 2023, a surveyor walking around a vacant lot at 2316 Clifton Ave. in Nashville discovered what appeared to be a homeless campsite. Next to a chair and an old campfire site, he found skeletal remains.
The remains were that of a Caucasian male between the ages of 40 and 70 years old. He was estimated to have been between 5′ 3″ and 5′ 8″ tall. He had lost all of his teeth prior to death. The most telling information came from the imaging that revealed three pieces of metal hardware were found in his skull. At some point during his life, he experienced injuries to his face.
Police report the individual had surgical plates and screws in the nose and brow region, and his nose would likely have been crooked. His right eye would have also been affected.
Metro Police reported that A USA soccer shirt, a blue USA soccer hat, a Merryman-Farr contractor jacket, and an empty wallet were recovered nearby.
His Namus file says that he was wearing an orange and white Nike shirt and blue jeans. It also says that a pair of Ozark Trail brand hiking shoes and a blue baseball cap were found nearby.
The details of his previous injuries could properly identify this man. Can you help tell everyone possible about him to help make his identification possible?
The red X in the picture below shows exactly where he was found.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call North Precinct Investigations at 615-862-7901.
