The community of Columbus, Nebraska, is mourning the loss of Adrian C. Bice, a 20-year-old former Columbus High School wrestler and graduate, who passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
A talented athlete and beloved member of the Columbus community, Bice was born on July 13, 2004, in Omaha, Nebraska, and grew up in Columbus. He attended Columbus High School, where he made his mark as an exceptional wrestler, earning varsity letters all four years and achieving the honor of state champion during his senior year.
Outside of wrestling, Bice was known for his humor and love of life. Friends and family describe him as a “practical jokester” who enjoyed fishing, spending time with loved ones, and sharing moments with his dog and his truck. A memorial service for Bice will be held on Friday, November 22, at 10:30 AM at Gass Haney Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Longacre officiating.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 9:30 AM until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the Bice family.
Bice’s sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him. The community remembers him not only for his athletic achievements but also for his vibrant personality and the joy he brought to those around him.
His legacy as a state wrestling champion and a cherished friend will endure in the memories of his teammates, coaches, family, and the broader Columbus community.
