Man Fired from Justice Department After Assaulting Federal Agent

In a recent incident in Washington, a man has lost his job at the Justice Department after throwing a sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed this development in a statement.

The individual, Sean Charles Dunn, 37, was filmed verbally attacking a group of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents and was subsequently arrested for assault. Reports indicate that he approached the agents at night, aggressively pointed at one, and called him a “fascist,” before tossing a sandwich at him.

Bondi expressed her disapproval on social media, saying, “This is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ. You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement.”

Dunn was employed as an international affairs specialist in the Justice Department’s criminal division. His attorney, Sabrina Shroff, chose not to comment on the allegations.

This incident occurred during a time when additional federal officers were deployed across the city, following President Donald Trump’s announcement to reinforce public safety measures. Trump has stated that crime levels in the city are alarming, while local leaders argue that statistics show violent crime is at a 30-year low.

Dunn reportedly attempted to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended by law enforcement. The ongoing discussions about crime and law enforcement in Washington continue to stir debate among leaders and residents alike.

In related news, some have raised concerns about the integrity of those still employed at the Justice Department, pointing out that former FBI agents involved in the January 6 Capitol events remain in government roles.

As the conversation about crime and safety in Washington progresses, this incident highlights the tensions surrounding law enforcement and the current political climate.
