Born on May 3, 2004, Amanda was the cherished daughter of Frances Kish and the loving sister of Samantha Marie Kish and Joshua Xavier Kish. She was the beloved granddaughter of Rebecca Collins and the late Steve Collins. Amanda’s early years were marked by a vivacious spirit and an insatiable curiosity. She attended Theodore Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Michigan, where she graduated with honors in June 2022. Her academic achievements were a testament to her dedication and love for learning.
Amanda’s passion for cheerleading began at the tender age of four. Over the years, she honed her skills and became an integral part of her high school’s cheerleading team. Her leadership and enthusiasm were instrumental in leading the team to achieve the highest scores in Roosevelt’s history. Amanda’s commitment to the sport was unwavering, and she inspired her teammates with her determination and spirit
In the fall of 2022, Amanda embarked on a new chapter by enrolling as a freshman at Central Michigan University. She was enthusiastic about her studies and had dreams of becoming a chef and owning her own restaurant. Amanda’s culinary aspirations were fueled by her creativity and love for bringing people together through food. Her time at CMU, though brief, was filled with promise and excitement for the future.
Amanda’s life was tragically cut short while she was driving home from campus. She was involved in a vehicular accident on US 127 southbound and was airlifted to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Despite the valiant efforts of medical personnel, Amanda succumbed to her injuries Her untimely passing has left an indelible void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community.
In the wake of this tragedy, the community rallied around the Kish family. A vigil was held at Bishop Park in Wyandotte, where scores of friends, family, and community members gathered to honor Amanda’s memory. The outpouring of love and support was a testament to the profound impact Amanda had on those around her. A GoFundMe campaign was also established to assist the family with funeral and medical expenses, reflecting the community’s generosity and solidarity during this difficult time.

Visitation for Amanda was held on at Molnar Funeral Homes – Nixon Chapel in Wyandotte. Family sharing and prayers took place that evening. The following day, an instate and service were held at Gateway Church of Christ in Southgate, Michigan. Amanda was laid to rest at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Michigan.
