Blue Scott Death and Obituary – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a devastating two-vehicle collision that claimed the life of 19-year-old motorcyclist Blue Scott. The fatal crash occurred at approximately 9:54 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, along County Line Road in Lakeland, Florida.
According to authorities, Scott was operating a green and black Suzuki motorcycle traveling northbound in the inside (left) lane of County Line Road. At the same time, a black Nissan Altima exited the O’Reilly Auto Parts Warehouse parking lot, crossing westbound across the northbound lanes of traffic.
Preliminary reports suggest that as the Altima entered the roadway, Scott attempted to avoid the vehicle by moving into the left lane. However, the Altima shifted into the median — directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The resulting impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, and Scott was ejected from his motorcycle during the collision.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash and found the motorcycle resting in the southbound lanes of County Line Road. Tragically, Blue Scott was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
Investigators noted that a helmet was found at the scene, though it was not strapped or near Scott at the time of the crash, leaving uncertainty as to whether he had been wearing it. The driver of the Nissan Altima, who was not wearing a seatbelt, escaped the crash without injuries. Authorities have stated that distracted driving is not suspected in the case.
