Breighana L Evridge Obituary, Death; – A collision involving two vehicles on Thursday evening resulted in the death of a woman from Forkland. Breighana L. Evridge, aged 33, sustained fatal injuries when her 2021 Honda CRV collided head-on with a 2020 Freightliner tractor-trailer.
The incident took place around 6:05 p.m. on U.S. 43, near the 143-mile marker, approximately one mile south of Forkland in Greene County. Evridge, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time, was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer has been identified as Tyrone C. McClendon, 52, from Forest, Mississippi. The current condition of McClendon remains unclear.
Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are actively investigating the incident, and additional information has yet to be disclosed.
