Charles Edward Wilkinson Obituary, Death; – A man from Carson City has been apprehended in relation to a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a Minden resident in Gardnerville.
On Thursday evening, at approximately 10:40 p.m., deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of Kingslane Court in Gardnerville. Upon their arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Charles Edward Wilkinson deceased, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, 25-year-old Gary Allen Dillishaw is alleged to have fatally shot Wilkinson and subsequently fled the scene, being deemed armed and dangerous.
On Friday at around 6:15 a.m., officers from the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Dillishaw following a brief vehicle chase.
He has been booked into the Mineral County Jail on charges of murder.
