Federal Immigration Operation in North Carolina Concludes
Charlotte, N.C. – A recent federal immigration enforcement operation, known as “Charlotte’s Web,” in and around Charlotte, North Carolina, has come to an end, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Garry McFadden confirmed that U.S. Customs and Border Protection has concluded the operation.
The enforcement, part of ongoing efforts to uphold immigration laws, also extended to areas near Raleigh.
Homeland Security officials stated that these operations are focused on individuals who are in the country illegally and pose a risk to public safety, including those with criminal records. While specific details about those arrested have not been widely released, authorities maintain the focus is on upholding the law and ensuring community safety.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to enforce immigration laws across the country, with detention numbers reflecting a commitment to border security and the removal of individuals who have violated immigration laws or pose a threat to public safety.
