Manchester and Hooksett, New Hampshire, are wrapped in grief this week after the sudden loss of Jeffrey Patrick Boyce, beloved husband to longtime radio personality Laura Boyce of Greg & The Morning Buzz. He passed away on November 15 at just 48 years old, leaving behind a family, a community, and a world that adored him.

Born September 22, 1977, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Jeff was raised in Hooksett and graduated from Manchester West High School. According to his obituary, he recently worked as a sales administrator at E&R Cleaners and had previously spent more than 20 years with Skillsoft Corporation — a career marked not just by dedication but by the warm relationships he built with everyone he met.

Jeff and Laura married in 2006, and together they raised two young sons: Parker, born in 2011, and Dylan, born in 2015. His family was his anchor — he treasured weekends tossing a football in the backyard, inventing games, and simply being there. His obituary recalls vacations full of camping and sailing, spontaneous “drop-by” visits with friends, and evenings in the basement spinning records or jamming on his guitar.

If you ever met Jeff, you’d remember how he could light up a room. He had a magnetic presence, a quick wit, and an easy laugh. Friends say he made people feel seen and valued — something not everyone can do. He had a gift for connection, and that’s not lost on those now trying to make sense of his loss.

The pain of his passing is multiplied by the reality that Jeff quietly battled mental health challenges. According to reports, he faced depression, anxiety, and PTSD — things he carried even as he showed up for his family and community. While his death was sudden, many close to him stress that his struggle was real and deeply felt, even if it wasn’t always visible.

In the wake of his death, the response has been overwhelming. Friends, listeners of The Morning Buzz, and neighbors have flooded social media with condolences, memories, and offers of support. Laura’s sister, Ericka Meyer, has set up a GoFundMe to help Laura and the boys navigate both the emotional and financial hardship — especially since Jeff had recently started a new job and reportedly did not have life insurance.

No cause of death has been officially confirmed, but different sources have reported various possibilities — from a tragic car accident to the toll of ongoing mental illness. Regardless of the circumstances, what remains crystal clear is how deeply Jeff was loved, how big a hole his absence leaves, and how much he meant to the people around him.

As the Boyce family — especially Laura and her boys — faces an unimaginable future, the community continues to rally. People are sharing their grief, their support, and above all, their gratitude for having known Jeff. His legacy isn’t just in what he did, but in who he was: kind, funny, steady, and deeply connected. He may be gone, but the laughter he inspired, the conversations he held, and the love he gave will linger in every corner of Manchester, Hooksett, and far beyond.
