Dacre Montgomery, known for his role as Billy Hargrove in Stranger Things, is gearing up to watch the show’s last season from home like any other fan. The 30-year-old actor shared his excitement about the upcoming episodes, noting how special it is to have played a character that resonated with so many viewers.
Living in Australia, Montgomery said he occasionally keeps in touch with fellow cast members but feels somewhat detached from the show’s ongoing developments. He emphasized, “I’m excited to watch the last season. I really am.”
When discussing his anticipation for the final chapter of Stranger Things, Montgomery highlighted his eagerness to see what the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, will deliver next. He expressed admiration for them, calling them “really great mentors” and is curious about their future projects as they step away from Stranger Things, a series that has kept them busy for nearly a decade.
“I’m really excited to see what they do outside of that,” he said. “They’ll have the opportunity to create something new, which is really exciting.”
Montgomery also shared his enthusiasm for his co-star Sadie Sink, who plays his on-screen sister Max Mayfield. He praised her talent and hard work, believing she has a bright future ahead in her acting career.
Reflecting on his experience with Stranger Things, Montgomery expressed gratitude for the connection fans have had with his character. He felt honored to be part of a show that sparked such passion among viewers, whether they loved or hated his character.
