David Cavazos Obituary, Death; – A man from Lamesa lost his life in a collision with a semi-truck on Friday evening. Troopers arrived at the scene of the accident on US 87 in Dawson County shortly before 8 p.m.
According to crash investigators, a pickup truck operated by 44-year-old David Cavazos was unable to maintain appropriate speed and collided with the trailer of the semi-truck. Cavazos was transported to Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa, where he subsequently passed away.
The semi-truck driver sustained no injuries.
