Demond Winston Obituary, Death; – Family members have confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot on Interstate 64 on Thursday evening. CBS 6 Crime Insider Jon Burkett interviewed relatives of Demond Winston, 41, who expressed their profound sorrow over the tragic and unjust loss of the Richmond father. Winston was shot on I-64 East, situated between the Mechanicsville Turnpike and Nine Mile Road exits in eastern Henrico County.
A Henrico police officer observed an SUV in a ditch along the interstate and proceeded to investigate the situation involving the driver. Winston was subsequently transported to VCU Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
