Texas Man Charged After Disturbing Incident with Young Girl
A 45-year-old man from Texas, Wesley Worl, is facing serious legal consequences following a strange encounter with an 11-year-old girl. The incident occurred on July 29, when police reported that Worl, dressed only in a diaper and wearing a pacifier around his neck, approached the girl while she was riding her bicycle near Andy Woods Elementary School in Tyler.
Witnesses described how Worl exited his truck and made odd sounds, reportedly saying, “goo goo gaa gaa,” before asking the girl to change his diaper. Alarmed, the young girl quickly rode away and sought help from nearby witnesses.
Those bystanders knew the girl and promptly contacted her parents, who rushed to the scene and called the police. The girl was clearly shaken by the encounter, according to Andy Erbaugh, a public information officer with the Tyler Police Department.
After the incident, Worl returned to his vehicle and drove off, but one of the witnesses managed to note part of his license plate. Surveillance footage of his truck also aided the police in identifying him.
Worl was arrested shortly after as authorities connected the dots. He now faces charges of criminal solicitation of a minor and misdemeanor criminal trespass from another incident. Currently, he is being held in the Smith County Jail with a bond set at $600,000.
