Elizabeth Holmes Seen Working Out in Prison
Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of Theranos, was recently spotted exercising at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas on August 2. The 41-year-old, who is serving a prison sentence, was photographed lifting weights and walking in the outdoor yard.
Dressed in a gray T-shirt and shorts, Holmes wore glasses and a baseball cap, covering her hair. In the photos, she appeared to be smiling and is said to be following a daily workout routine that includes various exercises.
Holmes, who became infamous after her company’s blood-testing technology was proven ineffective, discussed her life in prison in an interview earlier this year. She expressed that she feels disconnected from how people perceive her.
“I’m not the same person I was back then,” she mentioned, maintaining her innocence after pleading not guilty during her fraud trial. In 2022, she was convicted of multiple charges related to fraud and was sentenced to prison, beginning her term on May 30, 2023. She is set to be released in 2032.
In her interview, Holmes described her daily routine, which starts early each morning. She enjoys fresh fruit for breakfast followed by a workout that lasts about 40 minutes. Despite the challenges of prison life, she finds solace in seeing her children, William and Invicta, twice a week. However, saying goodbye after those visits is always difficult for her, as the reality of her situation sinks in.
Holmes continues to navigate her new life and reflects on the journey that led her here.
