As the fantasy football season rolls on, making informed decisions about which players to start each week becomes even more crucial. Here’s a look at some key situations and players that could significantly impact your lineup:

    Higgins Steps Up

With Ja’Marr Chase out, Tee Higgins is expected to be the primary receiver. When Chase is absent, Higgins sees a notable increase in his production. Quarterback Joe Flacco has already shown a connection with Higgins. Even against a tough opponent like New England, Higgins’ ability to make contested catches could make him a valuable asset this week.

New England’s defense is likely to focus on Higgins, but his size and skill in securing catches, even in tight coverage, could lead to a productive outing.

    Jeanty’s Challenges

Ashton Jeanty, is facing difficulties. Despite a high volume of plays, he’s struggling to gain yards, partly due to issues with the Raiders offensive line. However, he’s been increasingly involved in the passing game, catching passes out of the backfield.

This week’s game against Cleveland presents another tough challenge. Cleveland’s strong run defense and Jeanty’s struggles make him a risky start in most leagues.

    Wilson’s Opportunity

Emanuel Wilson could see a significant role if Josh Jacobs is unavailable. Wilson has shown promise when given opportunities. While the Vikings have a solid overall defense against running backs, they are more vulnerable to rushing attacks.

If Wilson gets the opportunity to handle goal-line carries, he could be a valuable player, especially for teams needing help at the running back position.

    Purdy’s Limited Mobility

Brock Purdy’s rushing production has decreased. This limits his fantasy potential. Last season, Purdy’s rushing added a significant boost to his score.

The Panthers defense is tough against quarterbacks, making Purdy a less attractive option than usual. Most of his production will need to come from throwing the ball.

Henderson and Stevenson in the Backfield

Rhamondre Stevenson’s return complicates the situation. TreVeyon Henderson has been productive in Stevenson’s absence. The question is how the team will divide the workload now that Stevenson is back.

Henderson should still see a good amount of carries, but Stevenson’s role, especially in the red zone, will determine Henderson’s overall value. Henderson is still a good option this week against Cincinnati.

    Sanders’ First Start

Shedeur Sanders is set to make his first NFL start. Sanders could provide a spark for the Browns offense. Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. could be a primary target, and Quinshon Judkins could benefit from improved offensive efficiency.

Judkins has struggled recently. A quarterback change could rejuvenate the offense and lead to a better performance from Judkins, especially against a tough Browns defense.

    Pickens’ Rematch

George Pickens faces a rematch with Philadelphia. Pickens has been a top receiver since Week 1. The Eagles defense may try to limit Pickens.

Pickens’ chemistry with Dak Prescott and his talent should allow him to perform well. The Eagles defense will likely focus on Pickens, but he should still have a productive day.

    Burrow’s Potential Return

Joe Burrow’s return could be coming soon. Burrow can be a valuable fantasy player when healthy. The Bengals’ struggles on defense could lead to more passing attempts for Burrow.

Burrow has the potential to be a high-scoring fantasy quarterback.

    Hall with Taylor at Quarterback

With Tyrod Taylor as the starting quarterback, Breece Hall could benefit. Hall could see an increase in targets in the passing game.

The Ravens defense is tough. The Jets will rely on Hall’s receiving ability.

    Egbuka’s Regression

Emeka Egbuka’s production has aligned with expectations. Egbuka is a talented receiver. He is getting a lot of targets.

Egbuka should improve. He plays the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football. The Rams are below average versus receivers.
