Washington, D.C. – Former Vice President Kamala Harris recently challenged President Trump to release the Epstein files, claiming he was trying to mislead the public by suggesting he needed congressional approval.

“Release the files!” Harris exclaimed during a podcast. “He is the President… he has taken unilateral action without concern about the three co-equal branches of government on almost everything he has done, so release the files.”

President Trump, known for his decisive leadership, took swift action. He signed legislation green-lighting the Justice Department to release the files.

“I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!” Trump announced on Truth Social. He noted that he had asked Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune to pass the bill, which received overwhelming support in both the House and Senate.

Trump also emphasized his commitment to transparency, stating, “At my direction, the Department of Justice has already turned over close to fifty thousand pages of documents to Congress.” He contrasted this with the previous administration, saying, “The Biden Administration did not turn over a SINGLE file or page related to Democrat Epstein, nor did they ever even speak about him.”

The House voted overwhelmingly to release the files. The Epstein Files Transparency Act directs the Justice Department to release all unclassified records and investigative materials related to Epstein and Ghislane Maxwell.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed that the Justice Department would comply with the law, releasing the files online within 30 days. The move is seen as a victory for those seeking transparency and accountability in the Epstein case.
