Jorge Rogel Obituary, Death;- A man from Gurnee was fatally shot on Tuesday evening in Waukegan, as reported by the Lake County Coroner’s Office. The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jorge Rogel, who succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head, based on initial autopsy findings.
Law enforcement officials responded to a shooting report in the 1500 block of Washington Street at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon their arrival, they discovered Rogel at the scene.
He was subsequently transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, where he passed away on Wednesday night, according to the coroner’s office. An autopsy was conducted the following Thursday. Waukegan police have yet to provide further information regarding the incident.
