Justin Gittings Obituary, Death; – An 18-year-old woman is facing charges of manslaughter following an investigation by Farmington police, which concluded that she was responsible for a fatal crash that occurred in August.
The incident took place on the afternoon of August 20, when law enforcement responded to a serious collision involving two motorcycles and a car on Waterville Road/Route 10, just north of Farmington Avenue/Route 4.
One individual was transported in critical condition by LIFE STAR, while two others were taken to hospitals via ambulance for medical attention.
The critically injured individual was identified as 31-year-old Justin Gittings from Meriden, one of the motorcyclists involved. Authorities reported that he sustained severe injuries to his lower body and head and tragically passed away nearly a month later, on September 23.
According to police, Anngelina Morton collided with two motorcycles while operating her vehicle. The North Central Regional Accident Reconstruction Squad concluded that she was at fault, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant. Anngelina Morton was apprehended on March 6 and faces the following charges:
– Second-degree manslaughter
– Two counts of second-degree assault
– Distracted driving
– Failure to drive right
– Traveling unreasonably fast
– Reckless driving
Court records indicate that Morton was released on a $275,000 professional surety bond and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
