Four young men, aged 17 to 19, have been arrested for capital murder following what police described as a “drug deal gone bad” at an apartment complex in the Kostoryz area of Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim of Sunday night’s shooting at the Windrush Apartments as 21-year-old Justin Tyler Camacho.
According to a probable cause statement from the Corpus Christi Police Department (CCPD), investigators reviewed video footage of the incident, which revealed the drug deal that led to the fatal shooting. On Monday, authorities arrested four suspects in connection with the crime.
The first arrest was 18-year-old Guillermo Martinez, followed by warrants for 17-year-olds Aaron Fuentes and Angel Galindo, along with 19-year-old Eduardo Hernandez-Carrizales. All four suspects face charges of capital murder and engaging in organized crime.
The suspects were reportedly seen fleeing the vehicle where Camacho was shot. The probable cause report also states that Martinez and the other suspects are members of a criminal street gang and had participated in another aggravated robbery earlier that same day.
Justin Tyler Camacho was a loving father to his 3 year old son. The 21 year old was found shot to death at Windrush Apartments on Sunday night along Kostoryz Road and Houston Street. Four men are being held on Capital Murder charges in connection with his death. But, it brings little comfort to his young girlfriend who is also pregnant with their second child. We need all the prayer warriors to send upon them because the wait for justice turns slow. Please post uplifting words to share with the children and family who are still confused, saddened, and healing from a broken heart today.
