Kelly D Haymond Obituary, Death; – The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed the identity of the 28-year-old woman from Somerset County who tragically lost her life in a head-on collision on South Middlebush Road early Saturday morning.
The deceased driver has been identified as Kelly D. Haymond, a resident of North Plainfield, as stated by Prosecutor John P. McDonald.
At approximately 2:49 a.m. on February 1, law enforcement received reports of a severe head-on collision occurring in the northbound lane of South Middlebush Road, close to Jacques Lane. Upon arrival, police, firefighters, and emergency medical services found that two vehicles were involved in the incident.
Haymond was driving a 2020 orange Dodge Charger and was the only occupant of the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the prosecutor’s office. The driver of the 2008 black Volvo tractor trailer, who was also the sole occupant, sustained no injuries in the crash.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, in conjunction with the Traffic Safety Bureau of the Franklin Township Police Department.
