Kim Sae-ron Obituary, Death;- A former child actress from South Korea, Kim Sae-ron, has passed away at the age of 24, as reported by various sources.
The actress, known for her role in the Netflix series “Bloodhounds” among other works, was found deceased at her residence in Seoul on Sunday, according to South Korean media. Reuters has corroborated her death with local authorities. A friend discovered her at her home. The exact cause of her death remains unclear, although police have indicated that there is no suspicion of foul play.
Sae-ron gained fame as a child star in South Korea after her performance in “A Brand New Life” at the age of nine. This film, which debuted at the Cannes Film Festival, received multiple accolades during its festival run.
Throughout the years, she appeared in numerous films and television dramas until her career faced a setback in 2022 when she was convicted of driving under the influence. Following this incident, she took a break from acting and was reportedly removed from several scenes in “Bloodhounds” as a consequence.
Reports from South Korean media indicate that she faced significant financial difficulties due to fines amounting to 20 million won (approximately $14,000) stemming from the DUI incident, which affected her during the last two years of her life.
Before her untimely death, she was in the process of reviving her acting career and was scheduled to star in “Guitar Man” later this year. However, it was also reported that health issues led her to withdraw from some commitments.
