    Lauren Ashley Martin Obituary, Death Sanford, FL – Sanford Police have arrested 35-year-old Savon Chantay Tyler in connection with the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Lauren Ashley Martin on November 5, 2024, at the Greystone Townhomes complex in Sanford. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire just after 7:00 p.m. in the 1700 block of Travertine Terrace, where they found Martin lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.

    According to investigators, Martin had driven to Tyler’s residence that evening to confront him about an ongoing argument between them. The confrontation quickly escalated from a verbal dispute to a physical altercation, during which Tyler allegedly drew a firearm and shot Martin multiple times. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital, but she later succumbed to her injuries. The Sanford Police Department conducted a swift investigation at the scene, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Based on their findings, police concluded that Tyler was the primary suspect and moved quickly to arrest him.

    He is currently in custody and faces charges related to Martin’s death as the investigation continues. This tragic incident has drawn attention from the Sanford community, where residents are expressing concern over the escalation of domestic disputes to deadly violence. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information to come forward, as they work to bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding Martin’s death.
