Louise Field Obituary, Death; – Omaha police have identified the woman from Fremont who lost her life following a collision in snowy conditions on Monday along West Dodge Road. According to investigators, a 1996 Chevrolet K1500 pickup, operated by a 60-year-old man, was traveling eastbound on West Dodge Road when it lost control and veered off the roadway.
The vehicle subsequently collided with a guardrail near the Skyline Drive bridge, resulting in the truck overturning. The front seat passenger, 60-year-old Louise Field, was partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by Omaha police.
Authorities indicated that the driver, identified as Melvin Field, along with the front middle seat passenger, who is believed to be their 10-year-old grandson, were transported to Bergan Mercy with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Officials noted that the road conditions played a significant role in the incident.
