LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man is fighting for his life after being shot in Middletown on Wednesday morning.
The Middletown Police Department said in a statement that officers responded to reports of gunfire and a person lying on the ground at 7:30 a.m. on Winter Springs Court.
Police said the victim was taken to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers also found a “suspicious package” on the scene, and LMPD’s bomb unit rendered the package safe.
Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
