Marvin Juan Obituary, Death; – A woman accused in a fatal stabbing incident in Decatur will have her case presented to a grand jury in Morgan County. Alicia Alvarado faces charges for the murder of her boyfriend, Marvin Juan.
During a court hearing on Tuesday, a detective from Decatur provided testimony regarding the case. He stated that upon his arrival at the scene on Noble Avenue, Alvarado was already in custody, and officers discovered her kneeling beside Juan, holding a knife. He noted that Alvarado was covered in blood.
The detective further indicated that Alvarado was the individual who made the 911 call, claiming that another person had stabbed Juan, although she was unable to identify the assailant.
Alvarado contended that Juan had been threatening to harm himself. The detective confirmed that Juan sustained only a single stab wound. The judge determined that there was probable cause, thereby advancing the case to a grand jury.
