Melania Trump Brings Holiday Cheer to Young Patients
Washington, D.C. – Former First Lady Melania Trump recently visited young patients at Children’s National Hospital, spreading Christmas cheer and offering words of encouragement during the holiday season.
Mrs. Trump shared warm wishes with the children, expressing her hope that Santa Claus would bring them many gifts. She also wished them strength and love during their time in the hospital.
During her visit, the former First Lady read “How Does Santa Go Down the Chimney?” to the children. She also gifted “Be Best” ornaments.
A little girl ran up to Mrs. Trump to give her a hug and speak with her. The visit included festive decorations and Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Mrs. Trump conveyed that President Trump sent “love and best wishes as well.”
She said that visiting the hospital during Christmas is a tradition she values, praising the hospital’s staff for their exceptional care.
The tradition of First Ladies visiting children’s hospitals during the Christmas season dates back to Bess Truman.
