According to Oregon State Police (OSP), the crash involved a Nissan Versa, driven by Ronald Lee Grubbs, 75, of Glide, and a westbound Honda motorcycle operated by Wiles. Grubbs was attempting to make a left turn into the Dollar General parking lot when his vehicle entered the path of Wiles’ motorcycle. The resulting impact struck the passenger side of the Nissan with tragic consequences.
Wiles was pronounced dead at the scene, while Grubbs and his passenger, Catherine Jean Grubbs, 72, of Glide, escaped without injuries.
