Jaivin Peel Returns to Lincoln Park, Eligibility Hearing Scheduled
Midland, PA – Jaivin Peel, a former quarterback for Western Beaver High School, has re-enrolled at Lincoln Park, a charter school located in Midland. Peel’s return marks his second time transferring back to Lincoln Park. The move comes midway through his junior year after a stint at The Kiski School.
Mike Bariski, the athletic director at Lincoln Park, confirmed that Peel rejoined the school around the fourth or fifth game of the 2025 football season. Peel intends to play football for Western Beaver in his senior year, which begins in 2026. However, his eligibility for postseason play is currently restricted.
The Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Board of Directors is scheduled to hold a hearing on Monday, December 8th, to discuss Peel’s eligibility. The hearing will determine whether Peel will be able to participate in any postseason games.
During his freshman and sophomore years at Western Beaver, Peel quickly established himself as a prominent quarterback. He broke the league’s freshman passing record, throwing for over 2,800 yards and 33 touchdowns. As a sophomore, he continued to impress, passing for 2,542 yards with a 59 percent completion rate and 29 touchdowns. His performance earned him first-team all-conference honors.
In the past season, another player has risen to prominence. Freshman Amari Marshall led Western Beaver, completing 57 percent of his passes for 767 yards and five touchdowns. Marshall also proved to be a significant threat on the ground, rushing for 1,235 yards and 11 touchdowns, averaging 12 yards per attempt.
This is not the first time Peel has transferred back to Lincoln Park. Previously, he returned to the school in July 2024 after a brief period at Central Catholic. Following his sophomore year, Peel transferred to The Kiski School for his junior year before deciding to return to Lincoln Park once again.
The Western Beaver football team achieved considerable success this past season. They secured the Midwestern Conference championship for the first time since 2007. The team advanced to the WPIAL semifinals, where they were defeated by Steel Valley. They finished the season with an overall record of 10-2.
It remains to be seen what role Peel will assume for the team in 2026. With the emergence of Amari Marshall in the previous season, the team has a strong quarterback already in place. Peel’s return adds another dimension to the team’s quarterback options and creates an interesting dynamic for the upcoming season. The WPIAL’s decision on Peel’s eligibility will also play a significant role in determining his potential impact on the team.
