Former President Donald Trump is publicly calling on House Republicans to vote in favor of releasing documents related to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Trump stated he has “nothing to hide” and suggested Democrats are using the issue to distract from the Republican Party’s accomplishments.
In a post, Trump encouraged Republicans to approve the release, dismissing the controversy as a “Democrat hoax” intended to deflect attention from Republican achievements. He emphasized that the focus should remain on the economy, reducing inflation, tax cuts, securing the border, and other key conservative priorities.
Trump highlighted that the Department of Justice has already released thousands of pages of Epstein-related documents. He also pointed to investigations into potential connections between Epstein and prominent Democrats, including former President Bill Clinton.
Trump argued that if there were any damaging information, it would have surfaced before the last presidential election. He cautioned Republicans against being “used” and urged them to focus on the party’s successes, framing the Epstein matter as a potential “trap” for Democrats, not Republicans.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that the DOJ would investigate prominent Democrats after new emails revealed ties to Epstein.
