    Welch, West Virginia – November 17, 2025 – The community of Welch is mourning the loss of Selma “Punkin” Swafford, who passed away peacefully at the age of 61 at her home on November 17, 2025. Known for her warm spirit and kind nature, Selma was beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

    A Life Remembered for Kindness

    Selma, affectionately known as “Punkin,” was a woman whose presence brought light and joy to those around her. Whether through her laughter, her compassionate heart, or her willingness to help others, she made a lasting impact on her family, friends, and the community. Her love and warmth will be remembered fondly by all who had the chance to experience her kindness.

    Family and Community Support

    Selma’s arrangements are being handled by Gregory-Page Funeral Home in Welch. During this difficult time, the community has come together to express their condolences and offer support to Selma’s family.
