Denise Richards, known for her role on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is speaking out after a judge granted her a five-year restraining order against her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.
Richards mentioned that she has a strong support system during this difficult time. She also spoke about the challenges of living life in the public eye.
The restraining order was granted after Richards claimed Phypers shared private information, including texts and photos, online. The judge agreed that sharing such private material was a form of domestic abuse.
Richards had previously accused Phypers of physical and emotional abuse. She was initially granted a temporary restraining order in July, shortly after Phypers filed for divorce.
Phypers was later arrested on spousal abuse charges related to incidents in 2017 and 2022.
Richards stated in court that Phypers’ actions, including leaking nude photos after she accused him of stealing her laptop, were intended to harm her reputation.
Phypers has denied Richards’ allegations. He filed for divorce in July, citing irreconcilable differences and seeking spousal support.
Richards claimed there are multiple threats, choking, violence from Aaron.
Richards described in court a pattern of abuse, saying she feared for her life.
Richards also played a video recording that was presented in court referring to Phypers as a “narcissist” and detailing multiple instances of alleged physical abuse.
