A man who disappeared five years ago has reappeared, just days after five people were arrested in connection with his supposed murder.
Ismail Ali was last seen in Bradford, England, on May 29, 2020, leaving his job at a food store around 2:30 p.m. He was 46 years old at the time.
On Wednesday, November 19, Ali walked into a police station, reporting that he was safe. Police are now trying to understand what happened during his disappearance.
Ali’s family has been told that he is alive and well. He is currently being looked after while the police investigate.
Earlier in the week, police arrested five people on suspicion of Ali’s murder. Three women, ages 47, 54, and 55, and two men, ages 27 and 51, were taken into custody.
However, despite Ali’s reappearance, the five individuals remain out on bail for money laundering offenses. Police found a large amount of cash during house searches related to the arrests. The investigation into the money laundering is ongoing.
Police have thanked the public for sharing information about Ali’s disappearance.
