KATY, TX – Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are actively responding to reports of a shooting incident at a Walmart store in the Katy area, according to a statement released by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
The incident occurred at the Walmart location situated along Grand Parkway and Morton Road, prompting an immediate law enforcement response.
Sheriff Gonzalez described the situation as an “active shooter” incident; however, preliminary reports confirm that no injuries have been reported at this time.
Authorities have stated that the suspect fled the scene on foot before deputies arrived. A perimeter has been established around the area as law enforcement officials search for the suspect.
