A woman from California, Obdulia Sanchez, has died in a drive-by shooting in Stockton, California. This happened on Tuesday, December 2.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office says someone drove by and shot at her. Another person was hurt in the shooting. No one has been arrested yet.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Sanchez has been in the news. Back in 2017, she was driving drunk and live-streaming on Instagram when she crashed. Her 14-year-old sister, Jacqueline, died in the crash.

Sanchez went to prison for six years because of the crash. She was found guilty of gross vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence, and endangering a child.

During the live stream after the crash, Sanchez said she knew she was going to jail for life. Neither she nor her sister were wearing seatbelts when the car crashed into a fence.

At her sentencing, Sanchez wondered why she was chosen to be the older sister, saying she felt she had failed and wasted her potential.

Sanchez was let out of prison in 2019 but was arrested again later that year.

Just days before Sanchez’s death, there was another shooting in Stockton where four people died, including three children at a birthday party. Police are still looking for the person responsible for that shooting.
