Police Search for Murder Suspect After Family Found Dead
Authorities are actively searching for Austin Robert Drummond, a murder suspect wanted in connection with the deaths of four family members in Tennessee. Drummond is also linked to the abandonment of a 7-month-old baby girl who was found in a nearby yard.
On August 1, police located Drummond’s car in Jackson, Tennessee, which is more than an hour away from Tiptonville, where his alleged victims were found. The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office announced that the Jackson Police Department discovered the vehicle hidden in woods near a dead-end road. Officials believe Drummond may have been living in the car.
The police have issued a warning for residents near the area. “Lock your doors and stay indoors as we search for Drummond,” advised the DCSO. They urged anyone who sees him to call 911 immediately, stating that he is considered armed and dangerous.
As of August 2, Drummond remains at large. The police department has encouraged residents to be vigilant and exercise caution in their daily lives, reminding them to report any suspicious sightings of Drummond to authorities.
Drummond is facing charges including first-degree murder and kidnapping in connection with the deaths of his alleged victims: Adrianna Williams (20), James M. Wilson (21), Cortney Rose (38), and Braydon Williams (15). All four were found deceased on Carrington Road in Tiptonville, and they are identified as family members of the abandoned infant.
Further details reveal that at the time of the alleged murders, Drummond was out on bond related to a previous attempted murder charge stemming from a December 2024 incident.
The tragic events began on the evening of July 29, when a 911 call was made regarding the disappearance of Cortney Rose and Adrianna Williams. Hours later, the dead bodies were discovered about 25 miles away from where the infant was abandoned.
A concerned witness reported seeing an infant left in a car seat, prompting immediate police action. Fortunately, the baby is now safe.
Anyone with information about Drummond’s whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities.
