Aurora, Illinois — Authorities have provided further details regarding the tragic shooting that occurred on Saturday night, November 22, 2025, at Two Brothers Roundhouse, a popular music venue in Aurora. The incident left two individuals dead and one in critical condition, prompting a thorough investigation by both the Aurora Police Department and the Kane County Coroner’s Office.

What Happened: Shooting at Two Brothers Roundhouse

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, Aurora Police Dispatch received multiple emergency calls reporting gunshots at Two Brothers Roundhouse, located at 205 N. Broadway. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division, supported by Evidence Technicians, immediately began investigating the scene. As the inquiry progressed, the Kane County Coroner’s Office was called in to assist with identifying the victims and handling the remains.

    Victims Identified and Suspected Motive

The victims have been identified as Jazmine Barclay, 24, from Aurora, and Bryan Heineman, 43, from Naperville. Both were pronounced dead as a result of gunshot injuries, with Barclay passing away at Mercy Hospital. Heineman, the suspected perpetrator, was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Heineman and Barclay were in a romantic relationship, and it is believed that Heineman may have specifically targeted the couple during the shooting. Barclay was with a 33-year-old man on the upper-level balcony of the venue when Heineman entered the establishment. Witnesses indicate that Heineman may have learned of their location through social media updates before arriving at the venue, where he began firing at both victims.

The 33-year-old man, who was also struck by gunfire, remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital. Fortunately, no bystanders or other patrons were injured during the incident.

    Investigation and Community Response

Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas expressed his sympathy for the victims and the community, stating, “This was a profoundly distressing incident for the victims, their families, the staff and guests present, and the community as a whole. Individuals simply aiming to enjoy their evening unexpectedly faced targeted aggression. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and every member of our community who is still coping with what they witnessed.”

A weapon was found near Heineman, along with other items that corroborated witness statements. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have urged anyone with information to come forward.

    Community Support and Resources

The Aurora Police Department is aware of the emotional toll this incident may have on the community and witnesses. Those seeking support are encouraged to contact the APD’s Crisis Intervention Unit at 630-256-2483. For immediate mental health assistance or crisis intervention, individuals can call 988 or 911.

The investigation remains active, and anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the Aurora Police Department’s Investigations Division at (630) 256-5500.
