LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Mail delays in Louisville are over, according to U.S. Postal Service spokeswoman Susan Wright.
However, she would not answer questions about when the delays were fixed or what steps were taken to resolve the issues. The statement comes after WDRB uncovered images of bins packed with mail in January at the Gardiner Lane location, causing weeks-long delays.
USPS officials have blamed the delays on weather — even though people reported not getting their mail before that. Congressman Morgan McGarvey’s office said it’s still getting about a dozen calls a week about mail delays.
WDRB Investigates continues to receive emails from people still dealing with delays.
Wright has repeatedly declined our requests to interview her, the Post Master and all leadership at USPS. She said the Louisville Postmaster is responsible only for retail and delivery, not operations.
