Hulk Hogan’s Family Strain Revealed After His Passing
Hulk Hogan, the iconic wrestler, passed away on July 24, leaving behind a complex family dynamic, particularly with his daughter Brooke and her husband Steven Oleksy. Sadly, it seems Hogan never met the twins Brooke welcomed in January.
Steven shared that he made efforts to connect with Hogan shortly after the twins were born. Despite his attempts, there was little interest from Hogan to engage with the new additions to the family. This lack of connection has been disappointing for the family, especially since Brooke has been notably involved in Hogan’s life, traveling at her own expense to support him during his surgeries over the past two years.
Steven, who previously played in the NHL, was hopeful that Hogan would mend his relationship with Brooke. However, after reaching out a month and a half after the twins’ birth, he realized there was no willingness from Hogan to bridge that gap. He recalled Brooke’s brother, Nick, intending to visit with Hogan to meet the twins, but that visit never materialized.
Brooke relocated to Florida with Steven to be closer to her father, hoping to strengthen their bond, especially as Hogan’s health declined. Despite her dedication, including attending every surgery and keeping detailed notes on his medical care, the relationship faltered.
After Hogan’s passing, the family plans to remain in Florida, which they now consider their home. They have built a stable life there, reflecting on their experiences together.
In the days following Hogan’s death, Brooke expressed her feelings on social media, emphasizing that their estrangement was not due to a single argument but rather a series of private struggles that others might not understand. She mentioned that Hogan confided in her about personal matters and business challenges, and she always offered her support.
Brooke felt it was necessary to step back from their relationship in recent years to protect her well-being. She acknowledged that her husband played a crucial role in maintaining communication with Hogan’s family amidst their difficulties.
In her heartfelt tribute, Brooke stated that she read through the messages exchanged between her father and Steven after his death, which left her with mixed emotions. Yet, she reassured herself with the knowledge that she did everything possible for Hogan.
