A trainee doctor from Melbourne, Australia, is facing serious charges after allegedly filming many of his coworkers in hospital bathrooms. Ryan Cho, 28, has been charged with more than 130 offenses, including stalking and secretly installing cameras.

Reports say that Cho had approximately 4,500 inappropriate images and videos of alleged female victims stored on his devices. Investigators have identified at least 450 victims that were recorded in the bathrooms of three hospitals: Austin Hospital, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, dating back to 2021.

Cho was arrested on July 10 when a hospital staff member found a phone recording in a restroom. He was granted bail on August 22 under strict conditions, including a curfew and living with his parents, who had to provide a bond of $32,000. Additionally, he must undergo psychological treatment and is prohibited from entering hospitals unless it’s an emergency.

Cho, originally from Singapore, has relinquished his passport. His lawyer claims there is no evidence that Cho shared the footage or threatened anyone. Cho has not yet pleaded in court.

Legal representatives suggest the case is complicated due to Cho’s mental health issues alongside the criminal charges. Authorities continue to investigate, as the full extent of potential victims remains uncertain.
