Tyrese Gibson Faces Arrest After Dogs Kill Neighbor’s Pet in Buckhead

ATLANTA — Actor Tyrese Gibson, known for his roles in Fast & Furious and Transformers, is facing an arrest warrant after his dogs reportedly killed a neighbor’s pet in Buckhead. The incident has sparked both legal and community concerns.

    What Happened

On September 18, 2025, Fulton County Police responded to a call from Gibson’s neighbor, who reported that four of Gibson’s Cane Corso dogs had killed his 5-year-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel named Henry. The neighbor had let Henry into their front yard to play, but when he checked on the dog five minutes later, he found him dead.

Surveillance footage showed Gibson’s four dogs running loose around the neighborhood just minutes before the attack, scratching at the door of a neighbor across the street. Additional 911 calls were made by a woman who was unable to get into her car because of the dogs blocking her way. Fortunately, Fulton County Animal Control officers arrived and safely escorted the woman to her car.

    Previous Incidents

This was not the first incident involving Gibson’s dogs. Fulton County Animal Services had previously issued multiple warnings to Gibson after reports that his dogs had been running loose on five separate occasions prior to the attack. Despite this, Gibson did not take immediate action.

    The Arrest Warrant

After the attack, Gibson initially agreed to surrender his dogs to Animal Services. However, when officers arrived at his home on September 22, 2025, he requested a few days to decide what to do. Animal Services Commander Capt. Nicole Dwyer then informed Gibson that if he failed to surrender the dogs, she would obtain a search warrant.

When Gibson still refused to surrender his dogs, a search warrant for his property and an arrest warrant on a charge of cruelty to animals were issued. Officers executed the search warrant, but by the time they arrived, Gibson and his dogs had left the property.

    Community and Legal Implications

The situation has raised serious concerns about pet ownership and the responsibility of dog owners to ensure their pets are kept under control, especially when they pose a risk to the community. The Cane Corso breed is known for being large and powerful, and it’s unclear whether Gibson’s dogs had been adequately trained or controlled prior to the incident.

Gibson’s legal team has not issued a public statement as of yet, and the case is currently under investigation. Fulton County Animal Services is working to track Gibson’s whereabouts and ensure the safety of the dogs.

Official Statements and What Happens Next

Authorities are continuing to search for Gibson and his dogs. The community remains concerned about the safety of other pets and residents in the area. Fulton County Police have confirmed they are pursuing both the arrest of Gibson and the safe removal of the dogs.
