On September 17, 2016, the skeletal remains of a small child were discovered in a pasture near Interstate 45 in Madisonville, Texas. The child, believed to be between 2 and 6 years old, remains unidentified, and authorities are seeking the public’s help to solve this heartbreaking case.

    What Happened

The skeletal remains of a young girl were found inside a black suitcase in Madisonville, Texas, on September 17, 2016. The child is believed to have been a White or Hispanic female, aged between 2 and 6 years old. She had long, thick, dark hair that reached just past her shoulders and was wearing a pink dress adorned with embroidered butterflies and the words “Follow Your Dreams.” She was also found wearing a size 4 diaper.

One of the most concerning details of the case is that the child was found with a feeding tube, indicating that she would have required ongoing medical care during her life. This has led investigators to believe she may have been in the care of someone who could provide such care.

    Ongoing Investigation

Ongoing genealogy research into the child’s background has revealed potential ancestral ties to Nuevo Leon, Mexico, or El Salvador, but it is still unknown where the child was born or raised. Despite efforts to identify her through various channels, the case remains unsolved.

An artist’s facial approximation of the child has been created to help visualize what she may have looked like during her life. This image, alongside the available details, continues to circulate in hopes that someone will come forward with information.

    How You Can Help

If you have any information that could assist in identifying this child or shedding light on her background, please contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678), referencing Case # 1291323.

This story may be updated with more information as the investigation continues. Let’s work together to give this little girl the identity and justice she deserves.
