EASTON, Mass. — Early Wednesday morning, the town of Easton was rocked by the sudden passing of 20-year-old Sam Tremblett, who lost his life following a single-car crash on Route 138 just past the Raynham town line.

Sam’s car—a blue Tesla—was found burning in a wooded area about twenty feet off the southbound lane, after emergency-responders arrived on the scene following a 911 call shortly after 1:00 a.m. The crash is currently being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit together with the Easton Police Department and the office of the Thomas Quinn III, Bristol County District Attorney. Investigators have said the incident does not appear to be suspicious.

Those who knew Sam are speaking now about the brightness he brought to every room. They say he was clever, driven and compassionate—a friend who offered laughter or a helping hand without being asked. A fundraiser set up in his name describes Sam as “kind-hearted, smart and driven… he loved his family and friends.”

In light of this unimaginable loss, Sam’s family has created a GoFundMe page to help offset the financial and emotional burdens the tragedy brings. As of the latest update, the campaign has raised nearly $17,718 of its $20,000 goal. The outpouring of community support—through donations, messages of comfort, and expressions of shared grief—speaks to the impact Sam had in his 20 years.

Friends and neighbors in Easton and beyond are now coming together, not only to remember Sam’s laughter and presence but to support his family as they navigate the days ahead. Sam’s passing leaves a hole that cannot be filled, yet the love he gave and the memories he created give others something to hold onto.

Though his time was cut far too short, Sam’s legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched. Easton mourns a son, a brother, and a friend whose light will not fade from this community. Rest in peace, Sam Tremblett—your memory will never be forgotten.
