Kim, who had touched countless lives during her nearly 40 years of service with Hopewell Federal Credit Union, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side. Our hearts go out to Kim’s family during this difficult time of grief.

    What Happened

Kimberly was born on September 20, 1963, in Newark, OH, to George N. and Judith M. (Goff) Bates. She graduated from Heath High School in 1981 and later dedicated nearly four decades of her life to Hopewell FCU, where she retired as operations administrative assistant. Throughout her career, Kim was known for her dedication, warm heart, and unwavering commitment to her colleagues and the community.

She was passionate about traveling, often going on trips with her sisters, and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.

Her colleagues at Hopewell FCU and friends recall her kindness, her dedication, and the sense of community she fostered during her time at the credit union. Kim’s professional life was a testament to her integrity, work ethic, and the care she gave to everyone around her.
